Where can I get a stick with a round only a wooden handle?

I am designing "A suit from" A Clockwork Orange for Halloween, Alex DeLarge. I have everything I need, except a cane. However, his stick with a blade in it, and do not think it appropriate or necessary. Thus I am now looking for a staff with a round wooden handle. All I can find are long handles.

Go to the construction of a center or home deco shop and look for wooden curtain pole. They make what are essentially a wooden peg with a ball of wood or glass in the end. You should be able to get one of the required length for under $ 15 and cut one end. Easy to spray paint, if you do not like the color.
