Cool things to do with a rogue (D & D)?
I'm just looking for some cool things I can do with my 4th level rogue in a new D & D campaign, usually play a halberd fighting, so I'm new to this class. It is annoying that I'm used to doing such harm to this 1d10 9 level and I'm stuck doing 1d6 +2 d6. I have given the hand, hide, etc.. all the best. Things that a rogue has to be useful. Using a sharp sword, SAP, hand crossbow, dagger. A lot of things to work. Teeth of Hydra, oil, fire alchemist, thistles, poison drow. Did I mention that I am a chaotic evil? So yeah, ideas? Looking for fresh exploits to work primarily with the articles. I like blowing things up.
I was supposed to be play 3.5? Consider getting two combat weapon to improve its combat capabilities – as you can get the sneak attack bonus on all attacks, you want as many attacks as you can get! In a fight, looking for ways to flank and use their evasiveness to reach foes like spellcasters who may be hiding behind enemy combatants. Creative struggle – land use, use skills to disorient enemies. If you have the time to plan, consider traps, laying in an ambush, even fast talking your opponents into bad places. Do not try to mess the game only because you're a bad rogue chaotic – yet can be loyal to his friends and allies. For good deeds, go to the WotC boards on www.wizards.com / dnd and look for the character optimization forum for 3.5 edition — people who give him all fresh feat suggestions you could want! Happy gaming.

Cloak and Dagger [P&S] $11.36 In Fritz Lang’s compelling World War II espionage thriller CLOAK AND DAGGER, Gary Cooper stars as Alvah Jasper, a shy and retiring physics professor at a midwestern university. When government agents press Jasper into joining them in an effort to curtail the Nazis’ efforts to attain atomic secrets, his life takes a dramatic turn. He is sent to Switzerland to contact Dr. Katerin Loder, a renowned scientist who has information about the status of German atomic technology, but on arriving in Europe finds the scientist missing, and therefore embarks on on a breakneck journey through Switzerland and Italy, fleeing the Nazi SS and attempting to locate Dr. Polda, who is the last person still alive who can give him the vital nuclear information. Along the way, romance is born between Jasper and a beautiful Italian resistance fighter, Gina.Filmed at the close of World War II, CLOAK AND DAGGER was one of Hollywood’s first films to deal with the activities of the OSS during the war. The movie tackled some of Fritz Lang’s favorite motifs, including underground espionage, anti-Nazi activity, and psychological warfare. The secret world of the OSS is expertly illustrated through the codes, secret handshakes, fistfights, and shoot-outs that pepper Jasper’s transcontinental flight. The drama of the final escape makes CLOAK AND DAGGER one of Lang’s most exciting films. Copyright (C) Muze Inc. 2005. For personal use only. All rights reserved. |

Cloak And Dagger (1946) $13.46 Inspired by actual events, Cloak and Dagger was first major atomic power melodrama of the postwar era. Gary Cooper stars as bookish physics professor Alvah Jesper, a character obviously based on A-bomb codeveloper J. Robert Oppenheimer. Pressed into service by the OSS in the last months of WW2, Jasper is sent to Europe in search of Dr. Polda (Vladimir Sokoloff), an atomic scientist held captive by the Nazis. In Switzerland, Jesper quickly runs afoul of enemy spies who murder the only person to know Polda’s whereabouts. Moving on to Italy, he links up with the partisans, falling in love with gorgeous resistance fighter Gina (Lilli Palmer). Adopting a disguise, Jesper finally locates Polda and spends the last few reels in a desperate dash to freedom. Screenwriters Albert Maltz and Ring Lardner Jr. had originally intended Cloak and Dagger as a warning to a complacent America. Director Fritz Lang recalled in later years that, as conceived and filmed, the ending was to have occured after Jesper and a group of Allied soldiers stumbled upon the ruins of a secret Nazi A-bomb factory, as well as evidence that the German scientists had fled to parts unknown with their atomic secrets intact. It’s day one of the Atomic Age, Jesper was to have noted ruefully, And God help us if we think we can keep it a secret much longer. This lengthy coda was removed from the final release print, transforming a thought-provoking drama into a mere romantic thriller. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide |

THE FIGHTER $5.99 Initially titled Fighting Chance, the made-for-TV The Fighter stars Gregory Harrison in the title role. Unable to support himself or his wife Glynnis O’Connor when he’s laid off from his job, Harrison decides to give boxing a try. Glynnis is dead-set against this decision; she takes a job at a beauty salon to make ends meet, which irritates her husband to no end. Working off his hostilities in the ring, Harrison becomes fairly adept with his fists-but the movie’s not quite over yet. Featured in the cast of The Fighter is Ray Notaro Jr., a real-life pugilist who served as Gregory Harrison’s trainer. The film first aired on February 19, 1983. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide |
